After reading Mike's release post about component on Rails via Cells, and his comment regarding rendering 1000 cells in sub-second time, I was curious about rendering time in IOWA for big piles of components. The two examples below rendered 1000 and 10000 components (each is a separate object), respectively, in real time, while this page was being generated.
Start test of 1000 components: Tue Mar 09 21:40:37 -0600 2010 37.672137
End test of 1000 components: Tue Mar 09 21:40:37 -0600 2010 37.704738
Time for 1000 components: 0.032601 (30673.9057084139 components/second)
Start test of 10000 components: Tue Mar 09 21:40:37 -0600 2010 37.704822
End test of 10000 components: Tue Mar 09 21:40:38 -0600 2010 38.71844
Time for 10000 components: 0.367022 (27246.3231086965 components/second)
