After reading Mike's release post about component on Rails via Cells, and his comment regarding rendering 1000 cells in sub-second time, I was curious about rendering time in IOWA for big piles of components. The two examples below rendered 1000 and 10000 components (each is a separate object), respectively, in real time, while this page was being generated.
Start test of 1000 components: Sun Aug 01 03:37:41 -0500 2010 41.758482
End test of 1000 components: Sun Aug 01 03:37:41 -0500 2010 41.791997
Time for 1000 components: 0.033515 (29837.3862449649 components/second)
Start test of 10000 components: Sun Aug 01 03:37:41 -0500 2010 41.792084
End test of 10000 components: Sun Aug 01 03:37:42 -0500 2010 42.170146
Time for 10000 components: 0.378062 (26450.6879823944 components/second)
