After reading Mike's release post about component on Rails via Cells, and his comment regarding rendering 1000 cells in sub-second time, I was curious about rendering time in IOWA for big piles of components. The two examples below rendered 1000 and 10000 components (each is a separate object), respectively, in real time, while this page was being generated.
Start test of 1000 components: Sat Feb 04 06:08:05 -0600 2012 5.469714
End test of 1000 components: Sat Feb 04 06:08:05 -0600 2012 5.503772
Time for 1000 components: 0.034058 (29361.6771389982 components/second)
Start test of 10000 components: Sat Feb 04 06:08:05 -0600 2012 5.503862
End test of 10000 components: Sat Feb 04 06:08:05 -0600 2012 5.884334
Time for 10000 components: 0.380472 (26283.1430433777 components/second)
